iPhone 4G Japan Release: Japanese Telcos are Ready for iPhone 4G - The iPhone 4 release date in Japan is set for June 24th. You'll be able to pre-order the new iPhone over a week before--beginning June 15th.

During the unveiling, Jobs mentioned that the new iPhone will be released in the US, Japan, France, Germany and the United Kingdom on June 21 but he failed to mention the other countries.

The iPhone 4 is set to come to another 18 countries by July 2010 (these include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland).

The iPhone blew up that paradigm and changed the way people think about these devices, which are actually handheld personal computers. It's fair to say that the smart phone business looks the way it does in 2010 because of Apple.

The phone will be available in white or black, retailing at $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for 32GB. They go on sale June 24th, and AT&T will be giving some extra grace upgrade timing -- up to six months early.
